This novel tells the story of the residents of Greenberry, Long Island. Easton wants to study interior design in the city but feels guilty about abandoning the diner his grandparents left him. His mother, Bel, obsesses on finding the hideout of a human trafficking gang. Best friend Mona dreams of finding fame singing in Nashville and is busy breaking the heart of Logan. Harvey, an old family friend, is afraid to give up his bar and travel the country with recently returned lover, Murray. And Maureen, self-appointed queen of Greenberry, just wants to make sure the local squirrels are safe. When a stranger named Shaun enters town, he brings his own dreams and problems with him, and helps a few of the local residents with their own, too.
Troy Brighton’s second novel Elephant Hide will be published on June 21st.
